On 19 July 2026 at 22:00, a wildfire was reported to have affected La Mierla, in the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara area, Spain. The fire is ongoing and poses a significant threat to local communities, critical infrastructure, forests and nearby natural resources. Current weather conditions may favour its rapid spread, with possible population displacement and severe environmental damage. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping is requested to provide an initial rough estimation, wildfire extent mapping and damage assessment emergency mapping to support emergency planning, tactical management and the strategic deployment of national resources and personnel.
