On the 20 July 2026 at 01:07 UTC, a wildfire is reported to have affected the municipality of Brieva, in the province of Segovia, Spain, while on the 22 July 2026 at 17:54 local time, a wildfire started in the municipality of Almorox, in the province of Toledo, and spread to the municipality of Villa del Prado, in the Community of Madrid, Spain. The events are on-going, with damage reported to affect forestry, protected natural areas, infrastructure, road networks, power supply and water supply, while evacuations have also taken place. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping is requested to provide initial rough estimation, wildfire extent and damage assessment emergency mapping.
